C.C.V.S. Newsletter
Because of outstanding benefit to patients, most recent C.C.V.S. News articles pertain to C.R.A. and N.A.E.T.

Horse Owner News

We treat mostly horses and have a special interest in them.  Bert bred, raised and trained Peruvian Paso Horses to help pay his way through vet school at U.C. Davis.  (Five National Champions were trained at Rancho Paso in Woodland, California, where Bert & Melissa live and operate the Cache Creek Veterinary Service.)

Articles in this column relate the latest health news of the horse world.  Recently, most of our reports have been in the field of clinical nutrition directed by findings from Contact Reflex Analysis, and the use of N.A.E.T. to determine and eliminate allergies.

Pet Owner News

Dogs & Cats occupy an increasing proportion of our time.  News concerning them appears in this column.  Readers can request topics of special personal interest.

Pets suffer from many of the same diseases that affect humans.  You may be surprised to learn that our animals respond to nutritional therapy and allergy elimination the same as their humans.

If you have a topic that you would like to see treated in print, drop us an e-mail.

Animal Anecdotes

Melissa tells sometimes amusing, sometimes heart warming, but always true stories about animals and their owners.  This column has become very popular with Readers.  Feel free to contribute an anecdote for use in the C.C.V.S. News.  Click on "Animal Anecdotes" (above) to see a sample of Melissa's column.

Letters FROM the Editor

Since I'm the editor, I reserve the right to address any topic in this section of the CCVS News.  I usually talk about the newest veterinary issues: Vaccination Frequency, Dangers vs. Benefits of Vaccines, Interesting Cases, etc.

But I have also been known to enter into forbidden political territory to discuss my opinions on tax reform, social or Constitutional issues--and just about anything else that interests me at the time.  My opinions don't change very often*, but I have lots of them so you won't get bored.

     * Let this serve as an example of the type of message in my "Letter FROM the Editor" column:

Melissa and I have been working for rational tax reform since 1990.  We are Directors of the Yolo County Chapter of Citizens for an Alternative Tax System (CATS) and Charter Family Members of CATS.  When we started this project, no one was thinking about changing the tax system.  Today, the question in Washington is not "IF" we should change the tax system, but "HOW" it should be replaced.
We have legislation in Congress (H.R. 2001) and it's gaining support daily.
